Spring is just around the corner. It is time to replace that old mower, or weed trimmer. We also have concrete products new for this year. The Plants are growing well for this season. We also offer feed for the farm. Stop by and see us.
Shrubs should be in this month about the middle of the month. The annual and perennial plants the first part of April.
Stop by and talk with Bob, he is our plant specialist with 25 years experience. Friendly and fun, he can lay out your whole landscape or just recommend that special tree for your yard.

This month is planting month. Plant your yard, garden, or flower beds. Some of the most tender plants may do better the first of may, but for the most part plants planted in mid to late April will be better off when the heat and dryer weather arrive. Fertilize well in April and side dress with fertilize as soon as plants are up and growing. mulch the perennials that come up later or if you have just not found time yet. Hang your baskets out. Now is still time to plant that special tree or shrub you have been planning on, the sooner the better as more rain falls early than later as a rule. April is almost here! It is time to plant trees, shrubs and some hardier perennials. Be careful when you rake away the debris away from newly emerging perennials. Remember when you uncover them they will be more susceptible to frost. It is time to add fertilizer, and other soil amendments as lime, or acidifying products. Once these are applied and hoed in it is time to mulch. Certain shrubs such as boxwood and hollies can be pruned for a full flush of new growth. Blueberries and fruit trees should be fertilized this month. The lawn should be treated for weeds and fertilized for fullest potential. by mid month vegetables and flowers that are somewhat hardy can be planted. tropicals and warm weather plants should be planted in May. Spring plants from the Muddy Pond Greenhouse are looking good and will be ready as scheduled. We will start stocking the 1st week in April that the forecast looks good. We have a small selection of trees and shrubs now, we will be getting more as the season progresses. Check back often for updates.

March is time to fertilize the lawn.
Clean debris from around the bulbs and perennials that will be soon coming through the ground.
Mulch shrubs and trees.
Time to plant the earliest plants, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, radishes, peas, potatoes, and other early crops. The earlier that you plant cabbage, broccoli, and potatoes the less insect pressure you will see.
Plant trees and shrubs while we have months of good moisture: you will have to water less this summer. Remember to amend the soil with humus, fertilize and mulch well at the time of planting.
Maybe it is time for a new shed, grill, or set of chimes.
